Cornelis Vrolijk's Visserijmaatschappij BV is an international fishing company that originated in the Netherlands around 1880. Today, Cornelis Vrolijk and partners operate on the worlds' oceans catching mostly herring, mackerel, blue whiting, horse mackerel and sardinella. All fish is processed immediately and frozen on board and then stored in coldstores before being delivered to customers all around the world.

Excessive ice formation in coldstores is a common problem and can create serious issues for the product and employees working in the coldstore. Ice buildup on and around evaporators and doors can create a mist and slippery floors. Turbulence caused by frequent traffic from people and forklifts can make the situation extremely dangerous. Even with the latest freezing technology (Ammoniak/CO2) coldstores still suffer from ice build up due to outside air flowing in through door openings, and as Cornelis Vrolijk discovered, air curtains alone do not remove any moisture.
After installing the Munters IceDry unit, Cornelis Vrolijk noticed an immediate reduction of moisture in the coldstore. The IceDry effectively removes the incoming moisture to the space, resulting in little to no ice on or near the evaporators or doors and providing a safer working environment for employees.
