Oasis™ IEC Provides Fresh, Dry Air to Indoor Waterpark

Munters tackles humidity in an indoor water park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The water park, located inside the Radisson Hotel, chose Munters in their design process to provide energy efficient dehumidification and energy recovery for indoor air treatment.

Oasis EPX unit in AlbuquerqueFamilies and guests swim and splash at the Radisson Hotel & Water Park located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The water park is the only indoor water park in the state, offering exciting tube rides, an indoor surfing wave stimulator, water slides, kiddie pools, and more! Because the water park is located inside the resort, controlling humidity is critical.

Controlling humidity inside the waterpark protects the building's structure and its contents from deterioration and corrosion. Offering the best solution for the 30,000-square-foot indoor water park environment, Munters installed two Oasis IEC units; a 40,000 cfm unit servicing the main water area and a 20,000 cfm unit servicing the FlowRider wave simulator.

The Oasis IEC units were chosen due to the city’s dry climate conditions, and are permitting the resort’s energy costs to decline and allow for less maintenance. Munters keeps the air dry and the indoor climate comfortable, all while lowering operating costs!
