How long has your evaporative media been in operation? Under normal operating conditions, media lasts 3-5 years. However, once the media starts to deteriorate, its cooling performance suffers. To prevent losing turbine power output, replace the cooling systems old evaporative media pads with Munters TURBOdek, GLASdek, or CELdek media. Munters can supply the replacement media along with turn key old media removal and new media installation service.

PRODUCE 20% MORE ELECTRICITY WITH INLET AIR COOLING
Munters inlet air cooling systems offer gas turbine operators a way to increase output of their turbines by as much as 20 percent during peak summer demand. By creating cooler, denser air prior to sending it to the turbine you obtain a higher mass flow rate and pressure ratio, resulting in an increase in power output and efficiency.
It has been determined that reduction of air inlet temperature improves gas turbine output by as much as 0.45% per °F.
With new turbine construction the TURBIdek evaporative cooling system is integrated into a single housing that the turbine company incorporates into the final installation. In turbine retrofits, the TURBIdek is most frequently installed in front of prefilters that remove particulates from inlet air. The simple retrofit installation typically involves removing the turbine inlet's weather hoods and bolting the cooling system to the inlet. Whether a new installation or retrofit application, Munters TURBIdek systems simply produce more energy per cubic meter of natural gas.

The patented, unequal angle and fluted design of Munters TURBOdek media provides unmatched evaporative cooling efficiency for optimizing combustion turbine output.
