In the 1950s, Munters invented modern industrial dehumidification when the company introduced the desiccant rotor, the core technology of the dehumidifier. Today, Munters offers five desiccant rotor formulations and is the acknowledged expert in the integration of rotors into dehumidification systems and air handlers.
The Munters DryCool™ HCUi dehumidifier is designed to cost effectively supply industrial and institutional buildings with cool, dry air. Used in a variety of critical dry-air environments including hospital suites, clean rooms, pharmaceutical laboratories, semiconductor manufacturing, and electronics assembly, the DryCool™ HCUi technology allows operators to control humidity and temperature independently.
The HCUi is designed to cost-effectively treat 100% makeup air and can work in conjunction with an existing A/C system. It controls humidity on an as-needed basis and can be utilized in existing facilities with chiller capacity limitations.
Because the energy required for the operation of its desiccant dehumidifier is recycled from cooling components, the DryCool™ HCUi operates cost-efficiently, with a product airflow range of 16,500 to 40,500 scfm.
